The Walls Are Talking

Is a series of advertisements that reveal the aging and peeling of the walls of Los Angeles. The ”No Post Bills” area takes on a temporary nature, decomposing in the form of collage. The ephemerality of these images tells stories of commerce and politics, while others expose the expressions of everyday people and a sub-culture seemingly scratching at the walls. This commercial aesthetic feels culturally imposing. The juxtaposition of collage and real life informs a reflex response to the fundamental principles between convenience, necessity and desire.
